Some runoffs attract hundreds of early voters, others get forgotten
Sam Hudzik March 24, 2011There's one week to go for early voting ahead of the April 5th elections. In Chicago, some aldermanic runoff races are getting a lot more attention than others from voters.
There are 14 Chicago runoffs, and one of them is getting more than its share of early voting love. According to the Chicago Board of Elections, the 41st Ward on the Northwest Side attracted more than 1,600 early voters through Wednesday. It's a tight race, an open seat where the current alderman, Brian Doherty, is retiring.

Anyone else as tired as me of getting O'Connor mailings? I am getting at least two a day sent to my house! Mostly ones from the SEIU but also ones from Citizens for O'Connor. Maybe I will bring them to the recycling truck she plans to bring to her business!
ReplyDeleteeveryone I know is voting early to make sure their is a change. everyone is motivated to change
ReplyDeleteEither candidate is no change. No one I know even want's to vote in this one.
ReplyDeleteThe people voting are the hard core on both sides. Average voter still deciding or staying home. Regardless of where the information on O'Connor lying to the board of elections about where she lived came from, she needs a better answer than I made a mistake. I want to know why she said she lived at her business...what did she gain? This aint over by a long shot.
