Candidate Panel Sponsored by the Harlem - Foster Homeowners Association

The Harlem - Foster Homeowners Association is sponsoring an Aldermanic Candidate Panel event on Thursday, February 17, 2011 starting at 7pm at St. Monica Church, Beyenka Hall located at the SE corner of Montclare and Carmen streets.

Candidate presentations followed by an opportunity to talk to the candidates individually.

  1. I wish the Harlem - Foster Homeowners Association would reconsider and host an actual forum where candidates would have to answer at least a few questions from the audience... more interesting than listening to "presentations".

  3. I agree, how about putting citizen questions in a hat and then randomly select? I want answers on party affiliations, improved communication, TIFs, proposed changes from the way things haven't run for the past 20 years, etc.

  4. I'm sure the sponsors of the panel are concerned about the number of candidates and the time factor, but I wish they would reconsider. I think we need a chance to vet these candidates out. We have no other real way to see how they can represent us.

  5. I was at the alderman debate sponsored by the Harlem-Foster Homeowners Association four years ago when Doherty ran against the ringer put up to run against him. I remember he couldn't answer one question. What a joke. Doherty walked in.
