Do We Need an Elected CPS School Board?

The CPS school board has been run by appointed, clouted membership for decades.  According to a Suntimes article printed today, the city's inspector general has uncovered over $800,000 in questionable spending on parties, trips, hotel bills, booze etc...  Money that could have been spent on educating the kids...

What do our aldermatic candidates think about an elected CPS school board and will they stand up to a Mayor who may want to continue to appoint members?

Also, how about two or more designated seats to educators from CPS?
