  1. Brock Merck isn't even a listed candidate on the Illinois State Board of Election Website. What gives? Just asking

  2. A little bird told me that Brock Merck has had every trick in the book thrown at him in order to keep him off the ballot by the machine. Don't worry, he's on the ballot and the machine is furious that their good times are a thing of the past.

  3. Hello,
This is Brock Merck. This state form defines the essence of my political beliefs. The reason why I have no record with the state on fundraising is because I don't fundraise. Campaign money corrupts and clouds future decisions that an elected official makes. Please polulate every candidates name into the formset and you will fall over in shock. Birtday presents and pay to play players top the list.

    Again,
    I am Brock Merck
    Let's fix it.

  4. I just looked for O'Connor's financial disclosure statement and it is gone. Was there this morning.

  5. I just looked too. No O'Connor listed and I saw it earlier.

  6. A) Don't form a committee.
    B) New Schedule A-1 Filing Requirement

    Date: 1/12/2011
Description: A political committee that receives a contribution of $1,000 or more starting January 1, 2011, will need to file a Schedule A-1 within 5 business days of receipt of the contribution. If the committee is participating in the election and the contribution is received within the 30 day period proceeding an election a Schedule A-1 must be filed within 2 business days.

    c) All is well. Brock is on the ballot.

  8. Brock Merck is frightening. Decent qualifications, but yelling at those of us in the audience hardly seems like a good way to introduce yourself.

Not going to lie, more than a few of us thought this guy could snap at any moment.

  9. Mullen challenged Merck. You don't have to be Karl Rove to know that he didn't want another Edgebrook cop sapping all his mojo.

  10. Both were too busy probably spamming the neighborhood with their signs to go through the process.

  11. Mary O'Connor does have her D2s posted. It's just under her democratic committeewoman organization- which I think is a violation.

  12. If someone is late filing a disclosure report it looks like they are fined. Not sure if there are other consequences. Can see why candidates need lawyers during an election

  13. O'Connor's D2's are filed, but she hasn't notified the state she is in the aldermanic election.
