THIS IS A VINTAGE CFD 1930 CHICAGO FIRE DEPARTMENT PHOTO. THE TRUCK PHOTO WAS TAKEN NEAR STATION 119. PICTURED IS CHIEF FIRE MARSHALL J. CORRIGAN. CHIEF JOHN F O'MALLEY AND FIRE MARSHALL CHARLES N. HEANEY ARE THE OFFICERS LOOKING ON. CAPTAIN AL BRATKE AND LIEUTENANT JOE MEYER WERE THE NEW OFFICERS AT THE TIME.THEY ARE SEATED IN THE ENGINE. IN 1930 THIS WAS A NEW COMBINED FIRE ENGINE AND HOOK AND LADDER COSTING $15,000 GOING INTO OPERATION IN NORWOOD PARK.THE ENGINE IS 119 AND IS A SEAGRAVE 750/80, WITH 344' of LADDERS. THE STATION IS LOCATED ON AVONDALE IN CHICAGO.
